You can't even call it "Christmas Vacation" without going sledding. My children gave each other sleds for Christmas this year and we decided that the only time we would have to try to them out would be this week! After conversing with my father we ended up at this lovely park with several rolling hills and tons of snow.
I think I should mention that I am terrified hate sledding. So when we came to this sign I was not very comforted.... although I'm not sure what it means by no ssing...? Will singing beyond that point cause some sort of landslide? Maybe you're not supposed to be musical while you're not sledding?

Either way there were plenty of people laughing at this sign despite its warning. This also happens to be the first hill Mr. R sent his five year old son down (can you believe he's FIVE already??)

I went down this hill once and once only. I promptly walked to a tamer hill that wasn't "beyond this point" Miss Messy face was not happy. She wanted adventure. Not the stupid lame SAFE hills that mom was making her go down. But when you're young enough to be picked up and carried around by other people you don't really have a say in which hills you get to sled down.

Captain G.B had so much fun sledding. Even though he was the first to freeze clear down to his bones, right before getting in the car he decided to fall face first into the snow and lick the ice off the sidewalk because he was too cold to go on, he said he would like to do it again.

Mr. R looked liked a kid going down the big hills. I don't think I've heard him laugh that hard in a long time. Good thing he has all those whiskers on his chin to keep
the snow from flying up his nose his face warm.

Me,"What did you like best about sledding?"
M.M.F, "I like my hat."
There you have it. Apparently we need to do it again...
~sigh~

Scared of sledding?? Really? I wish I could've gone this year but I was afraid I'd bash my belly in and bring baby here faster. Oh well, always next year. :) Your kids are brave and SOOOOOOOOOOO cute!
