I found this awesome tutorial on NoodleHead's blog and just had to make them for kids for Christmas. They are getting some Zhu Zhu pets for Christmas and these bags are going to be their "homes". I also made a little pillow and blanket for each of the pets.
I don't have the ropes in the packs in these pics because I had a beast of a time trying to find it... in fact I am still questing, I think I'm going to check out Wal-Mart's housewares department.

Did you try Smithfield Implement? I think they sell different weights of rope by the foot or yard or whatever.
I found some at Wal-mart, they sell it by the yard there too. :) Plus the lady there was making some for her kids for Christmas so she was super helpful.
