The "I can be happy" corner. Now when the kids are upset or get into trouble they get to grab a picture of themselves being happy and having a good attitude. When their mood/faces match the picture they can come out of the corner! Brilliant I know. So far it's worked... we'll see how long it lasts.

"M" trying on Dad's packpack. She looks adorable. She's all ready for her first day of daycare this semester!

"V" took a picture of me on my "first" day of school. I don't think it's that flattering, but oh well.

All ready to go to daycare!

Sitting in the corner for hitting his sister with a stick. Man I love this kid.

I love the first day of school pictures. Are your kids going to preschool up on campus? Let me know how the "Happy Corner" works for ya.
nah, not on campus... just Day Care for now.
We were evaluating the difference between D's preschool and E's preschool (up on campus). I will say I loved E's preschool because it was ALL afternoon and was very interactive learning BUT she didn't learn as much as she could have. D's preschool has him set up to breeze thru the first few weeks of school without a hitch. The things they learned were far more than the campus class.
Was the campus program right for E? YES! Could we have done better? YES! So the lesson we learned- just because it costs more doesn't mean it is better! You should qualify for headstart up at the elementary. I would get V in on that program!! It introduces them to the school and the best part is it is FREE (OK so the tax payers pay for it).
